What Is Astrology?

One of the things I’ve always found fascinating about astrology is how the positions and relationships of planets can reflect patterns we recognize in our own lives. Sometimes those patterns are obvious, while others are things we may have experienced for years without really giving them much thought.

Astrology has been studied and practiced for thousands of years, with many different approaches developing along the way. At its heart, astrology looks at the relationships between planets and other celestial factors and how they may correspond with our personalities, interests, relationships, experiences, and the choices we make.

What interests me most isn’t simply what a planet or placement is supposed to mean. It’s how the different factors work together, what patterns emerge, and whether those patterns make sense when we look at someone’s actual life.

What Can an Astrology Reading or Report Tell You?

There are so many different ways to look at a birth chart, and not every reading or report focuses on the same things. Some look at personality and natural tendencies, while others focus on relationships, particular areas of life, or patterns that may be especially important to you.

An astrology reading gives you an opportunity to look more closely at a particular part of your chart and consider how those patterns may be expressing themselves in your life. You might recognize something you’ve always known about yourself, or you might come away with a different perspective on something you’ve been experiencing.

I don’t believe your birth chart tells you who you have to be or limits what you’re capable of becoming. I see it as information you can work with. The more you understand the patterns in your life, the more consciously you can decide what to do with them.
